The MASP IV Farmer Survey V1.1 covers S6.1, S6.2, S2.1, and S2.5 in one interview. Compatible with KoboToolbox and ODK Central. Upload the .xlsx file to your KoboToolbox account to deploy it to enumerators' mobile devices.
Note: Separate forms for CSO (S6.3) and Company (S6.4/S6.5) respondents are under development (V1.2).
REC01–REC05 (REC Level Indicators) are not uploaded here. Enter annual counts directly in the Targets & Achievements tab.
Step 2 — Before Deploying to Enumerators
_project_code
Set the project code to exactly match the code in the Projects table (e.g. KE-ANK-001). Wrong codes will cause import failures.
_country
Confirm enumerators select the correct country value from the dropdown. Accepted: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia.
GPS
Enable GPS on all enumerator devices before the first interview. The form records farm location automatically.
Pilot test
Run 3–5 pilot interviews before full deployment. Export the pilot CSV and check it imports cleanly before proceeding.
Sampling frame
Enter the target population in Targets & Achievements first (target_total and gender disaggregation) so the extrapolation formula has a denominator.
Step 3 — Export from KoboToolbox & Upload Here
Export from KoboToolbox
- Open your project in KoboToolbox
- Go to Data → Downloads
- Select CSV format, all fields
- Click Export and download the file
Upload on this page
- Select the CSV file using the form on the right
- Choose the correct survey year
- Leave form type as Auto-detect for KoboToolbox exports
- Click Upload — submissions enter review queue
Required CSV columns:
_uuid, _project_code, _country. Profile submissions (FarmerProfile) must be approved before linked survey forms (S61, S62, etc.) can be imported.Step 4 — Upload CSV File
